But no worries – it’s an easy and straightforward process.

1. Get a visa on arrival at the airport (approx. $25 USD, paid in cash), or

2. Apply online for an e-visa before your trip via the official website:

Trip one:

The best is to fly to Aswan. Another option ist to fly to Luxor and take the train or bus to Aswan - here we recommend you to arrive one day before, so you have enough time to arrive. Our journey will end in Luxor, so we recommend you to fly back from there. Other options are again Aswan or Hurghada (sometimes they have cheaper flights). But for this you’ll need to take a bus first.

In general it’s perfect to combine this trip with Kairo and the pyramids too. We can organize this for you / give you more information.

Trip two:

Best is to fly to Luxor OR to fly to Hurghada and from there you can take the local bus to Luxor (often the cheaper version, but more adventurous). Just reach out to us, we can help you if there are any questions- Isabelle already travelled that way. We will then travel as a group from Luxor to Kairo (you have to book the flight by yourself). So the trip will end in Kairo.

Egypt is sunny and warm, especially in the south – but also conservative in cultural expression.
We recommend packing:

• Long, breathable dresses or pants

• Loose-fitting tops that cover shoulders

• A scarf or shawl (for temples or crowded places)

• A hat & sunglasses for sun protection

• Comfortable sandals or walking shoes

When in doubt: flowy, respectful, and comfy is always a good idea.
